The Whisky Exchange Masterclasses, run by the experts at The Whisky Exchange, will give visitors the opportunity to experience and learn more about a variety of whiskies from the mid to high range categories.

The Whisky Exchange has a long history of running excellent whisky and fine spirit tastings that are extremely popular, and give whisky and spirit lovers the chance to meet the people responsible for making their favourite drams.

The tastings and classes will be led by whisky experts from The Whisky Exchange who will be able to guide visitors through the variances of different whiskies on the market today as well as whiskies from more specialist producers.

Saturday 18th February

12:00 – 12:45 – Nikka Whisky with Stephanie Holt

Nikka was set up in 1934 by Masataka Taketsuru, the father of Japanese Whisky. He built 2 distilleries in Japan to produce a variety of single malts and blended whiskies which are known for their quality and flavour. Explore the multi-award winning Nikka range with a tasting of 5 whiskies from the company.

Sunday 19th February

12:00 – 12:45 – William Grant & Sons UK

Alwynne Gwilt is the UK Balvenie Brand Ambassador at William Grant & Sons UK, hosting events and trainings on whiskies from the family owned whisky company. She got her start in whisky first through of a love of the liquid, and later through setting up the whisky blog, Miss Whisky. A former journalist, she wrote for numerous magazines and newspapers on the topic, while also hosting whisky events in the UK, Europe and Canada, and consulting for numerous brands. Alwynne will be guiding us through a selection of  Balvenie whiskies from the Single Barrel range, including the 12yo, 15yo and 25yo, plus a couple of extra treats along the way.

The Whisky Masterclass tickets are £45 when booked in advance and include entry to the Olympia Historic Automobile Fair & Auction.

Please note, masterclasses are limited to 30 people per session so we recommend you book in advance to secure your place.

The Whisky Exchange Masterclasses are £55 when purchased on the door.
